Frequently asked questions

How do I join a friend's room?

Ask them for the six-character room code, open the Rooms tab, and enter it in the "Enter room code…" field. You can also join from a match's page via "Have a code? Join a friend's room". Room links shared from the app (getmatchcall.com/room/…) open the room directly if you already have the app installed.

Do I need an account?

No. MatchCall creates an anonymous account on first launch, so you can predict straight away. You choose a display name and avatar the first time you submit a prediction — that name is what your friends see in a room.

My predictions weren't scored, or my points look wrong

Points are awarded after the referee's final whistle, once the official result is confirmed — this can take a few minutes after the match ends. Predictions must be submitted before kick-off to count. If a match has been settled for more than an hour and your points still look wrong, email us the room code and the match, and we'll check it.

How does Rex predict?

Rex is our AI pundit. He makes one prediction per match, generated before kick-off and never changed afterwards. He is confident, and he is frequently wrong. That's the point.

I bought MatchCall Pro but still see ads

Open Profile → Go Pro and tap Restore purchase. This re-checks your purchase with the App Store, so use the same Apple Account you bought Pro with. If ads still appear after restoring, email us and include the Apple Account address used for the purchase — never send us your password.

Is Pro a subscription? How do I cancel it?

No — MatchCall Pro is a one-time purchase. There is nothing to cancel and nothing recurring to be charged for; it stays on your Apple Account and can be restored on any device you sign in with. If you want a refund, Apple handles those directly at reportaproblem.apple.com.

I'm not getting notifications

Check Settings → Notifications → MatchCall on your device and make sure Allow Notifications is on. Match and reveal notifications are a Pro feature and require notification permission.

Why does MatchCall ask about tracking and advertising consent?

MatchCall is free and supported by ads. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland we show a consent form covering advertising and data use, and on iOS we then ask for App Tracking Transparency permission. Both are yours to decline — the app works either way, you just see less relevant ads. You can change or withdraw your ad consent at any time from Profile → About → Ad Privacy Settings, and your tracking choice from Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device. Pro users see no ads and are asked neither question.

How do I delete my data?

Email support@getmatchcall.com from the device you use MatchCall on and ask us to delete your account. We remove your display name, avatar, predictions and leaderboard history. See the Privacy Policy for what we store and why.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet — it's in progress. Until then, Android users can open a shared room link in a browser to see a room's results.
